Samoan Language week 2020
Term 2 Week 7
'Tapena sou oso mo lau malaga' Prepare yourself a gift for your travels.
COVID19 did not stop us from celebrating Samoan Language Week. The weather was not the best and although we did not have an assembly to showcase classroom performances, we managed to create something to acknowledge Samoan language week. Room 3 learnt about the delicious, healthy foods of Samoa and simple everyday words. Our panikeke's (pancakes) were demolished quickly before a photo could be taken 😮 and only managed to grab a few pics of muffins 😋 oh we mustn't forget the delicious Chocolate Cake one of our student's made - lets just call it a Samoan Sukalaki Keke! and lets just say that it was a 'gift' (oso) because I was 'travelling' (malaga) 😆😆😆 no, we shared it.
