Room 3 Video-graphers
These four were chosen from Room 3 to learn about Video-graphy. If you see them floating around at school events they are capturing the moments on camera. They are learning to take photo shots, record video's on an iPad and then upload it on to the computer. There are a few pictures and video clips I have used and posted on our classroom blog.

Senior Sports
Team Folau Sports
In Term 2 the Team Folau teachers decided that for Senior Sports every Friday that everyone will go into their Houses where ALL students at Jean Batten were assigned to a House. Our first sports competition during Level 2 for two weeks was Basketball, Soccer, Netball and T Ball. There were 2 categories - Competitive and Fun teams. The winning teams would receive free pizza and points towards the final tally at the end of the year for the House that is the overall winner. The winner for these games was Ranginui. We continued Senior sports after Level 2 and as students were returning back to school the teams became bigger and so therefore we narrowed the games to Soccer and Netball. Again there were competitive teams and fun teams. The final was held on the last day of Term 2 and all teams needed to have learnt a chant and have their House banner ready to cheer on their teams. At the end of the final all the teams gathered in the school hall and had a chant off. It was full of laughter and amazing chants. Unfortunately these were not recorded :(
The winner of these games were once again RANGINUI.

The Auckland Huskies Visit
Today our school had the pleasure of meeting 4 Basketball Players from The Huskies Team New Zealand. They interacted with our Senior Students and two of Room 3 students managed to score themselves a Huskies T Shirt and Shorts - just by asking awesome questions! A student managed to score an autograph and three students managed to score a photo too with one of the players. Will upload some more exciting pics from today's event soon! 👌😀
